Is Nownote free?

Yes. Nownote is completely free. All 8 minimalist color themes, typography controls, interactive widgets, and Live Activities are included at no cost — no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no paywalls.

How do interactive widgets work?

On iOS 17+, long-press your Home Screen, tap the + button, search for Nownote, and choose your widget size. You can tap checkboxes, stamp timestamps, and add tasks directly from your Home Screen.

Where is my note data stored?

All your notes and archives are stored exclusively on your device within a sandboxed App Group container. Nownote does not use external servers or cloud accounts.

What URL scheme is supported?

Opening nownote://type immediately opens the app, places the cursor at the end of your text, and focuses the keyboard in 0ms.
